Cleaning a Mouse
While holding the mouse upside down, remove the ball retainer ring by gently sliding or twisting it, and set aside.
Cup your hand over the ball socket and turn the mouse right-side-up again so that the ball falls into the palm of your hand.
Gently blow over the ball and into the ball socket to get rid of any dust or other foreign matter.
Using cellophane tape rolled around a finger, with the adhesive surface outward, carefully clean the idler wheels that touch the ball surface. Roll the idler wheels and clean the back side also.
Reassemble the mouse
